The Evergreen Life Care Leadership Team is passionate about delivering quality care and support services in a way that supports the dignity, wellbeing and individuality of our residents. The Evergreen Leadership Team is also supported by an accomplished Board of Directors and a team of committed and caring health and aged care professionals.

Our Leadership Team

Kate is a seasoned aged care executive with experience in leading organisations through transformation and organisational change to achieve strategic goals and improve customer outcomes and business performance. Her most recent role was Executive General Manager Strategy and Transformation at RSL LifeCare. While there, she led a major transformation to enhance the resident and employee experience, improve quality, and develop a future-looking model of care. Before this, Kate was Executive Director Strategy and Business Improvement at Dementia Australia, where she led the unification of the state and territory organisations to one national organisation. Kate is passionate about the care of older Australians, and loves being part of the Evergreen Life Care community. She can often be seen meeting with residents whilst taking her dog Murphy for a walk around the Village.

Arlene brings over 24 years of experience in Nursing Management, Clinical Research, Clinical Monitoring, Patient Safety and Nursing to her role as General Manager for Residential Care. She is a highly qualified healthcare services professional, with a Graduate Diploma of Midwifery, Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, and extensive experience in all aspects of clinical care.

Roy brings more than 15 years of financial and operations management, auditing and system administration experience across various not-for-profit organisations. He holds degrees in commerce, accounting and finance, business administration, science, and IT. His focus is to build an in-house finance team and deliver efficient and effective services for the Evergreen Life Care team.

Vicky is an experienced Project Manager, with qualifications in hospitality management and counseling. Vicky has worked in not-for-profit organisations for the last 15 years, most recently focusing on aged care. She has delivered award-winning projects to enhance quality of life for residents in aged care.

Elle joined Evergreen Life Care in 2019 and brings more than 10 years of experience supporting Senior Management. Previously, Elle worked at NSW Treasury Corporation as the Personal Assistant to the General Manager, Investment Implementation and Operations. Elle loves to travel, and her favourite places are Nepal and Jordan. She also enjoys the beach, bushwalking and going out for dinner. Elle’s smile always lights up our residents’ day!

Sarah joined Evergreen Life Care in 2006 after completing her Certificate III Aged Care Nursing. In 2008 Sarah became the Nurse Trainer and Trainee Supervisor and has continued to progress through the ranks of Care Staff, Team Leader, Educator, Quality Systems Coordinator and now HR. Sarah brings practical experience and a passion for care into the role.

Michelle Croft commenced as Customer Care Coordinator in 2019, managing sales of retirement units and admissions to the residential aged care facility. Michelle has 10 years of experience in aged care, and five years in not-for-profit organisations in fundraising and service development. She is always on hand to answer questions from new residents and their families.

A registered nurse with professional honours in quality and safety, Rosie has over 30 years of experience in leadership roles in the acute, community, aged care, and community services. She is passionate about working with older people to improve their experience with the aged care system and has experience in service design and innovation, clinical governance, and workforce development.

Steve Kane has worked at Evergreen Life Care for more than 30 years as the Maintenance Manager. Steve and his maintenance team work tirelessly to ensure that the Evergreen grounds are always beautiful and ready to be enjoyed by residents. You may often run into Steve when you’re out enjoying the grounds.

Our Board of Directors

James has been on the Board since 2018, first as Director and then as Chairman since 2019. Qualified in Accounting and Economics, James has experience in senior project management and government roles where he managed teams and agencies.

As a Chartered Accountant, Allan has over 35 years’ experience in both chartered and commercial roles. Joining the Board in 2019, his commercial experience spans from public companies and government event management through to small businesses. Allan provides board level advice on financial and management reporting and financial systems.

Jane is an aged care specialist with Leading Age Services Australia, the peak industry association. Qualified in Commerce, Communications and Public Administration, Jane brings extensive experience in aged care, public health, community and primary health. Joining our Board in 2020, she brings strategic and operational planning skills to drive change.

Joining our Board in 2021, Guruprasad is a senior emergency physician with special interest in geriatric acute care, integrated care and end of life care. Over the last decade he has led clinical innovations in the acute care of the elderly and end-of-life care, while supporting the establishment of geriatric emergency medicine training in Australia and emergency medicine as a specialty in several countries.

Ivan is the Principal of Kent Law Group in Gosford, NSW and joined the board in 2021. He has represented many elderly residents of Central Coast retirement villages and homes. Ivan has degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, Social Science and Law and has recently been awarded a Masters in Law specialising in Dispute Resolution.
